With government home battery rebates and solar schemes flying around in 2025, you can save serious money, while saving your energy.

National rebate

The Cheaper Home Batteries Program begins July 1 and reduces installation cost by 30% for systems between 5-50kWh usable capacity.

New South Wales

The Peak Demand Reduction Scheme (PDRS) offers you a battery rebate depending on postcode and system capacity. There’s other criteria you can read about and even a handy calculator on Solar Quotes.

Western Australia

The WA Residential Battery Scheme provides a rebate of $1,300 or $3,800 on home batteries or a zero-interest loan of $2,000 to $10,000 for eligible households.

Northern Territory

The Home and Business Battery Scheme is a grant that provides $400 per kWh of usable battery capacity up to the value of $12,000.

ACT

The Sustainable Household Scheme provides zero-interest loans from $2,000 to $15,000 repayable over 10 years.
